Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tack. By signing in or connecting a repository you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Beta service
Tack is in closed beta. Features, limits, and pricing can change or be withdrawn at any time, and runs may fail or be interrupted. The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the service.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You sign in with GitHub, and you are responsible for the security of that GitHub account and for everything done under your Tack account. You may only connect repositories you own or are authorised to grant access to.
What you allow us to do
By connecting a repository you grant us permission to read it in order to produce plans. We read with a short-lived, single-repository, read-only GitHub App installation token. In Phase A, Tack makes no writes to your repository: it opens no branches, no commits, and no pull requests. Repository content is processed as described in our Privacy Policy, which includes sending it to our LLM provider through the Vercel AI Gateway.
AI output
Plans are generated by a large language model. They can be incomplete, inaccurate, or wrong about your codebase, and they are suggestions, not professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing a plan before you act on it, and for any code, change, or decision that follows from it. We do not guarantee that any plan is correct, secure, or suitable for your purposes.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Tack to process repositories you are not permitted to share with a third-party AI provider.
- Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, budgets, quotas, or access controls, or to access another tenant data.
- Do not use Tack to build or aid unlawful, infringing, or malicious software.
- Do not resell, or attempt to reverse engineer, the service or its model access.
Fees
Phase A is free during the closed beta. We will give notice before any paid plan applies to your account, and you will not be charged without agreeing to it first.
Retention
Run data, plan candidates, and connected repository records are retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and its run history at any time by emailing hello@tackdev.com. Full retention detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Tack at any time by disconnecting your repositories and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if your usage threatens the stability or security of the service, or if we discontinue the beta. We will make a reasonable effort to give notice.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
